Haiti Relief Efforts Update

On August 14, 2021, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Tiburon Peninsula in the Caribbean nation of Haiti. As of September 1, at least 2,248 people were confirmed killed and more than 12,200 injured. This has been recorded as the deadliest earthquake and deadliest natural disaster of 2021. It is also the worst disaster to strike Haiti since the 2010 earthquake.[1]

Thank you for your generous donations of goods and monetary gifts to help support those effected by this earthquake in Les Cayes. Pastor Calixte, who is the CCI Regional Coordinator in Port-au-Prince, his family and many others delivered food and supplies to those critically impacted. Below is an update regarding the relief support efforts and the distribution of freeze dried foods conducted by Pastor Calixte and a number of volunteers.
