Indian Subcontinent: Access Granted
It is a pleasure to be able to share with you all things concerning Missions. The verse below is necessary for missional living. In Matthew 16:24, Jesus is saying, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” There is a lot packed into this verse. It is a heavy statement! The following are elements:
Sacrifice
Obedience
A change in our position
Follow the Leader
In this verse, Christ let us know that He had a cross to bear. How definitive, Christ on a cross! Mind you this was before the Transfiguration, Jesus riding the colt, and the plot to kill Jesus. The Lord knew! The Bible is true, the Lord knew that He would suffer. Therein access is granted by Jesus to know Him and His suffering. It is at the cross that we meet Jesus. O’ the magnitude of mercy and grace which Jesus exhibited when He took our place on the cross! As Good Friday approaches, set aside your desires and crouch at the cross because Jesus displayed how much He loved us. Now, let us engage in missional living.
