Some people do not do New Year’s resolutions. Many have opted for meaningful words instead. To actually obtain growth and feel accomplished takes focus and re-engagement at various times throughout the year. My word for 2023 is Seek (nothing fancy). Read this of Psalm 27: 7-8: Hear O’ Lord when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me and answer me. God said, “you seek my face.” My heart said unto God, your face, Lord, will I seek.
This is altogether timely for me. My wife’s word is commitment. These words complement one another; seeking the Lord takes commitment. They both bring so much meaning. This year together, we hope to experience an abundance of purpose and meaning. It is proper to seek God because we are sought after. In our going, others are to realize that they are sought after too. Can you support the work that shows up right before their eyes that says again and again, “You are sought after?”
