Laos: Dusting Off Our Feet

“But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you…”

Luke 10:10-11a

Since we sense that we are not welcome in the city, we focus on the remote areas and work with the tribal groups. We feel that God has opened the door there for us. There are more and more church leaders interest to taking the CCI classes, which most of them are untrained leaders. Some church leaders just converted from being witch doctors to believing in Christ. They became church leaders even though they never had any Christian training. They realize that this training is necessary for them. After the first Bru tribe class was finished, many people registered with CCI to be students. Last month, we just started a new class with 24 students and in August, we will open another class for 16 more students.

A person of peace, like our Area Coordinator Pastor K, works hard to recruit for new students, and since we have limited places to meet for the session, he has to look for a safe place in the city to meet, plan for transportation, accommodations, etc.
