Philippines: Examination Time

The picture shows CCI students taking a test after finishing the course on Rules of Interpretation. They are working through the steps of interpreting a passage, writing down their thought processes on the blackboard, much like solving a math problem in front of the class. Both their brilliant work and possibly dumb mistakes are right there in plain sight of their classmates. Then the teacher and the whole class would evaluate their work. This way, everyone learns, even those students who are waiting for their turn. These men are working hard so that they can be ready to minister to their communities. No copy-paste here; no cheating; no mindless parroting of other people’s words. Just plain hard work to understand God’s Word and deliver it faithfully to His people. May the Lord help these servants of God to become effective fishers of men!
