Preparing a soldier for battle does not end at boot camp. He can only be a truly effective warrior as he gains experience and uses what he knows in the actual battlefield. And out there, the soldier needs to be provided with food, ammunition, equipment and guidance. He might even have to learn to use new equipment, techniques and additional skills according to his situation. In the same way, preparing and equipping the saints for spiritual battle is a continuous process that involves serious commitment. Christ-followers need to have additional training and equipping even though they are already involved in the ministry. They need to be provided with the knowledge, skills, materials, financial assistance, guidance, and encouragement so that they can continue the work and be effective warriors in the ministry.
