Thailand: Equipping Leaders for God's Glory

Our goal should not be just to win people to Christ but to disciple and train them to be all that God wants them to be. This is a point to emphatically stress. Many people feel that it is not their responsibility to train others. That’s the responsibility of “theological institutions.” We need to demolish this idea and communicate the importance of pastors training new leaders and passing on sound doctrine to the next generation. Practically speaking, it makes more sense to train people to work alongside us rather than doing it all ourselves. I will use a culturally relevant example below to help reinforce this concept.

Coordinator Spotlight

Years ago, Jimmy, the Area Coordinator for Lawa Tribe, seen on the far right in the photo, trained Krittichai, the gentleman in the middle. At that time, Krittichai was an ordinary believer and church leader with no formal Bible training, but he felt a strong calling from God. Driven by a vision and a burden to become an elder and care for the church, he was eager to pioneer a new congregation.

Krittichai was also receiving training from CCI under Pastor Jimmy’s mentorship. Through this training, he learned valuable principles for effective ministry based on biblical teachings. As a result, both his original church and the new church he pioneered experienced significant revival. The congregation grew, and many members committed themselves to serving God to work the harvest.

Today, Krittichai’s church is dedicated to continuous Bible study and service, demonstrating the impact of the training and guidance he received. Read More.
