"Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Paul expresses his attitude of pressing on for perfection and in later passages he exhorts others to have the same mindset. Â Just as Paul recognizes the need for him and others to strive for perfection and knows that we will not be able to do it alone, we understand this also and are continuously looking to the Holy Spirit to guide us and direct us to those who share the same mindset. Â Many of you know our testimony and also know that we are looking forward to the future and pressing on toward the mark.
