Typhoons usually begin passing through the Philippines in August. This year, however, we didn't get any until the beginning of October, which meant that the reservoirs were getting dangerously low. But then, 3 back-to-back typhoons filled the reservoirs to the brim so that early this week, water was released from the dams north of Manila. Downriver in Calumpit, Bulacan, just next to Apalit where we lived for 6 years, flooding occurred affecting some of our church members from Apalit Bible Christian Church (ABCC).
